7 Steps to LESCO Net Metering Approval

1. Select an AEDB Certified Solar Installer: Hire an Alternative Energy Development Board (AEDB) certified vendor (Category C-1, C-2, or C-3) to design the system.
2. Application Preparation: Prepare the standard NEPRA Schedule-I application form along with single-line wiring diagrams and equipment datasheets (Tier-1 solar panels & approved on-grid three-phase inverters).
3. Site Inspection & NOC: LESCO Sub-Divisional technical staff inspects the premises to ensure transformer capacity has available hosting room (up to 80% of distribution transformer rating).
4. Agreement Signing: Execute the 3-year renewable Net Metering Agreement with LESCO.
5. NEPRA Generation License: LESCO forwards the dossier to NEPRA for official generation license issuance.
6. Demand Notice Payment & Meter Testing: Pay the Demand Notice for the bi-directional Green Meter and submit the meter for testing at LESCO Meter Testing Laboratory (MTI).
7. Green Meter Commissioning: LESCO operations team installs the bi-directional meter and activates grid connection.
